TEHRAN, Oct. 08 (Press Shia) – Iran’s President said Iranian and Malaysian governments are set to develop cooperation and need to use all existing capacities to faster achieve the goal.
President Hassan Rouhani made the remarks on Saturday morning at a meeting with Pandikar Amin bin Haji Mulia, a Malaysian politician and the current Speaker of the Dewan Rakyat, the lower house of the Parliament of Malaysia.
“Iran and Malaysia are determined to reach pre-sanction levels of cooperation to be later doubled in the short run with the support of parliaments,” Rouhani continued.
The official voiced readiness to create better relation between the two governments and parliaments asserting “reinvigoration of economic, cultural, scientific and parliamentary ties would benefit Iranian and Malaysian nations.”
President of Iran, while pointing to regional and world conditions, said religious, moral and humane obligations require us to create unity in the Islamic world; “Iran and Malaysia, as two major countries in the world, are able to resolve difficulties faced by Muslims with further collaboration.
He emphasized the need to strengthen pillars of peaceful coexistence among followers of all religions saying “the only way to provide countries with security and stability is increase tolerance.”
“Islam is based on increasing commonalities and avoiding divisions and disagreements,” the Iranian President concluded.
Pandikar Amin of Malaysia, for his part, stressed that his country would support expansion and reinvigoration of relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran in all arenas.
He further appreciated constructive negotiations between the two sides in line with development of joint cooperation; “no barrier exists on Tehran-Kuala Lumpur ties and banking cooperation can accelerate them.”
The Malaysian official recalled his frequent trips to Tehran noting “Iranian and Malaysian parliament would definitely support deepening of relations between the two countries.”
