TEHRAN(Press Shia Agency) – Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri is scheduled to pay three-day official visit to Turkey.
The Iranian commander is expected to confer with Turkish officials on bilateral defensive ties, border cooperation, regional developments and fighting terrorism.
Baqeri will visit Ankara upon an official invitation of Turkey Chief of Staff Hulusi Akar.
A high-ranking military and political delegation accompany the Iranian top commander during his trip to Turkey.
Iran and Turkey enjoy cordial bilateral relations. Despite some differences on regional issues, Iran and Turkey are two sides of a trilateral mechanism to maintain ceasefire in certain parts of Syria.
