TEHRAN (Press Shia) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani highlighted his administration’s resolve to address various economic, social, and political problems without any fear of foreign threats.

Iran has no fear of foreign threats and plots, President Rouhani said on Sunday during a visit, along with his cabinet members, to the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini to reaffirm allegiance to the ideals of the late founder of the Islamic Republic.

The president said Iran has inherited its fearless spirit from Imam Khomeini, who taught the nation how to deal with plots during eight years of Iraqi imposed war in the 1980s.

What matters most now is to maintain the people’s hope for the future and safeguard their trust in the establishment and the administration, he added.

Rouhani won a second term in the presidential election in May by securing an absolute majority of the votes.

The first official session of his cabinet was held on August 20.
