TEHRAN (Press Shia Agency) – A spokesman for Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), also known as Hashd al-Shaabi, said the forces are ready to participate in a massive operation to liberate Hawija in the northern province of Kirkuk, from Daesh (ISIS or ISIL) terrorists.

Ali al-Hussaini on Friday said Daesh terrorists have only two choices, either surrender or die, the Arabic-language Alsumaria news agency reported.

He further emphasized that no dialogue will be held with the terrorists or those whose hands are stained with the blood of the Iraqi people.

“We want to free our compatriots living in Hawija from Daesh terrorists, who have executed dozens of people and created an appalling humanitarian situation in the city,” the spokesman added.

Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi on Thursday announced that Tal Afar and the entire northern province of Nineveh have been liberated from the Daesh Takfiri group.

The premier further said the liberation of Tal Afar was made possible with the help of the Iraqi army, Federal Police, counterterrorism units, Hashd al-Shaabi, and Rapid Response Forces.

"Our happiness is complete, victory has arrived and the province of Nineveh is now entirely in the hands of our forces," he added.

Abadi also emphasized that Baghdad is resolved to free all other parts of Iraqi territory and keep up its firm stance against terrorists who pose a threat to the entire region.
