TEHRAN (Press Shia Agency) – The forces of the Yemeni army and Popular Committees, in counterattacks against the Saudi-led coalition, managed to kill three Saudi servicemen in the northwestern Hajjah Province, a military source said.

The unnamed source said the three Saudi forces were shot to death in the north of the border district of Midi in Hajjah Province on Monday, Lebanon's al-Mayadeen news channel reported.

The Yemeni army and Popular Committees also fired Katyusha rockets at the positions of Saudi troops in the kingdom’s Najran and Jizan provinces.

Moreover, the missile command of the Yemeni army pounded gatherings of the mercenaries of the Saud-led coalition west of Taiz Province, inflicting heavy casualties on them.

The attacks by the Yemeni forces were carried out in retaliation for the continued massacre of civilians by the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen.

Since March 25, 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to Yemen’s fugitive former president.

According to Yemen’s Legal Center of Rights and Development, the Saudi campaign has claimed the lives of over 12,000 Yemenis and left more than 20,000 others wounded.
