TEHRAN, Sep. 19 (Press Shia) – Ali Akbar Velayati, the former Iranian FM and current Leader’s aide, says Iran will never accept to renegotiate the agreement of July 14, 2015.
“Under no conditions the proposal to renegotiate is accepted by the Islamic Republic of Iran,” asserted Ali Akbar Velayati, the Head of Strategic Research Center of Iran’s Expediency Council, on Tuesday. He made the remarks in Shiraz when asked about the claims made by some news outlets who surmised that Paris and London back the renegotiation of Iran nuclear deal.
“It has been done once and there is no doubt cast by the negotiating countries on this agreement,” reiterated the Iranian official recounting that the nuclear deal was the fruit of a long period of Iran-5+1 negotiations, “Surely the proposal to renegotiate is declined.”
“Iran’s positions are clear, we support the territorial integrity of the region and Iraq,” he said when asked to comment on Iraqi Kurdistan referendum.
“Holding referendum in a section of an independent country is an introduction to secession of that country,” reaffirmed the former FM, “the legitimate government of Iraq, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and all international communities are against this referendum.”
“It is highly likely that the Americans and Zionists may hold a position in public in contrast with their covert intentions of weakening and disintegrating the countries of the region,” held the veteran diplomat who was Iran’s foreign minister for 1981-97. “Later they will probably show up as the supporters of the tribes of the region to put the whole region in chaos.”
“The US and some Arab countries of the region were directly involved in creating chaos in Syria and Zionists were clearly involved in forming the ISIL, Salafis, and extremists,” he noted.
“While Iran and its allies reached victory in Syria, the Americans and Zionists are after stimulating ethnic tribes for a so-called independence effort of real disintegration intention,” highlighted the senior aide of Iran’s Leader.
