TEHRAN, Oct. 20 (Press Shia) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry appointed, on Thursday, Mohammad Farhad Koleyni as the new chargé d’affaires of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Buenos Ayres replacing Ahmad Reza Kheyrmand.

Mohammad Farhad Koleyni, a master’s degree holder of strategic foreign relations, who had formerly served at different positions including as the Islamic Republic of Iran’s ambassador to Armenia was appointed as the new chargé d’affaires of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Buenos Ayres replacing Ahmad Reza Kheyrmand according to a Thursday announcement of the Foreign Ministry.

Iran-Argentina relations have been growing in the recent years in the areas of cultural, economic, and sports cooperation and the new diplomat is assigned to make improvements in the political ties of the two countries.

The former chargé d’affaires of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Buenos Ayres, Ahmad Reza Kheyrmand, acquired the position three years ago in 2013.
