Press Shia – Hujjat al-Islam Abdolbari Javanmardzadeh said that the House of Saud has tried to discourage doubts over its rule by stirring up the situation in Lebanon and forcing Sa’ad al-Hariri to resign as the Prime Minister of Lebanon.
Press Shia Agency – In an interview with Reza News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Abdolbari Javanmardzadeh, the head of the leadership committee of the Azad University of Khuzestan, stated that the signs of the collapse of Saudi Arabia are being revealed, saying, “[The Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia] Muhammad ibn Salman is engaging in ruling above his role as the king of Saudi Arabia and politics but is holding on to any thorn and thistle to remain in power, including engaging in the arrest of princes and forcing Sa’ad al-Hariri to resign as the Prime Minister of Lebanon.”
He said that despite the Al Saud’s attempts to prove its rule in the Middle Eastern country, this tyrannical regime has been defeated in Syria and Iraq and added, “The Saudi and American trained Daesh Takfiri terrorist group has been defeated and in Yemen, all of their policies and investments have also been defeated.”
Hujjat al-Islam Javanmardzadeh pointed to the failures of Saudi Arabia’s previous policies and efforts over the past two decades and said, “In order to save itself from this self-created whirlpool, Saudi Arabia had announced new policies which were welcomed by other countries and this has led to speculation over a change in the political system of the monarchy.”
Speaking at a major investment conference in Riyadh on October 24, ibn Salman had vowed to return Saudi Arabia to “a moderate Islam” and has engaged in a string of radical economic and social projects that he has attempted to portray as “reformist” in nature.
The Iranian cleric said that all of this is in order to prevent a collapse and the dictated American policies are now considered as defeated in Saudi Arabia.
Explaining that Saudi Arabia is carrying out arrests of princes and forcing al-Hariri to resign to discourage doubts in the minds of some regarding the current situation in the country, Hujjat al-Islam Javanmardzadeh stated. “The Al Saud is seeking to prevent the fall of their rule by aggravating the situation in Lebanon and forcing al-Hariri to resign. Of course, the Saudis will not dare to ignite another war due to their numerous defeats.”
Over the last two weeks, ibn Salman has been involved in an aggressive push to purge royals and businessmen critical of his policies under the banner of an “anti-corruption campaign.”
al-Hariri announced his resignation on November 4 following visits to Saudi Arabia, citing several reasons, including the security situation in Lebanon, for his sudden decision. He also said that he realized a plot being hatched against his life.
al-Hariri also accused Iran and the Lebanese resistance movement, Hezbollah, of meddling in the Arab countries’ affairs, an allegation the two have rejected.
