TEHRAN (Press Shia Agency) – Syria’s army and its allies targeted the hideouts of the Jabhat Fateh al-Sham Takfiri terrorist group (previously known as Al Nusra Front) in the west-central province of Hama, liberating two districts from the grip of the terror group.

On Saturday, Syrian forces carried out a military operation against al-Nusra militants in Hama province, retaking the villages of Qasser Ali and Arafa there, SANA news agency reported.

According to the report, the army units managed to establish control over the two villages after claiming the lives of dozens of the terrorists.

The report added that the Syrian forces are now busy clearing the regained areas of the landmines and explosives left behind by the militants.

Syria has been gripped by foreign-backed militancy since March 2011. The Syrian government says the Israeli regime and its western and regional allies are aiding Takfiri terrorist groups wreaking havoc in the country.
