Press Shia Agency – Ayatollah Afif al-Nablusi, the director of the Imam al-Sadiq Seminary in the Lebanese capital of Beirut, offered his condolences in a message to the Supreme Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, in regards to the devastating earthquake in the Iranian province of Kermanshah.

Press Shia Agency – Ayatollah Afif al-Nablusi, the director of the Imam al-Sadiq Seminary in the Lebanese capital of Beirut, offered his condolences in a message to the Supreme Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution,  Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, in regards to the devastating earthquake in the Iranian province of Kermanshah.
 

In his message, the Friday prayer leader of Sidon said, “We were deeply saddened upon receiving the news about the deaths of hundreds of the dear Iranian people and the destruction of their homes and public facilities as a result of the earthquake in Kermanshah province.”

Ayatollah al-Nabulsi stated, “The presence of the Iranian people and authorities in helping and solving the problems of the people affected by the earthquake in Kermanshah is source of a pleasure for us.”

He added, “The presence of Ayatollah Khamenei among the victims of the earthquake and the emphasis on solving the problems, supplying the necessary equipment and providing the means for the return of the victims of the earthquake to their homes as soon as possible is a reminder of the traditions of the Holy Prophet [Muhammad] and the Commander of the Faithful, Ali.”

The director of the Imam al-Sadiq Seminary noted, “By visiting the victims of the earthquake, the Supreme Leader showed his mercy and compassion to the victims and those suffering due to the earthquake.”

Ayatollah al-Nabulsi said, “The honourable presence and generosity of Ayatollah Khamenei in all arenas demonstrates a unique and wonderful role model in the present era and a path of guidance for the Islamic ummah that needs to emerge from despair into the light of hope and peace.”

Over 430 people were killed and thousands more in a 7.3-magnitude earthquake that jolted Iran’s Kermanshah Province on November 12.

On November 20, Ayatollah Khamenei visited Sarpol-e-Zahab in Kermanshah province, which is the hardest hit town and met some of the affected families.
