TEHRAN (Press Shia) – President, prime minister, foreign minister and the information minister of the Sana’a-based ruling executive body dubbed as ‘Yemen's Supreme Political Council’ strongly condemned the terrorist attack in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula that killed over 300 people.
In separate statements released by Yemen’s Saba News Agency, President Saleh al-Sammad, Prime Minister Abdulaziz bin Habtoor, Foreign Minister Hisham Sharaf and the government Spokesman and Information Minister Ahmed Hamed condemned in the strongest terms the heinous and cowardly terrorist attack that targeted and killed the worshipers in a mosque in the Egyptian Sinai.
"This brutal terrorist massacre reminds us of the 2015 massacres in which terrorists targeted worshippers in Badr and Hishosh mosques in the capital Sana’a before the arrival of the army and Popular Committees to stop those Takfiri forces and protect the citizens," the information minister Hamed said in his statement.
Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi announced a three-day nationwide mourning following the deaths of people at Al-Rawda mosque in Egypt’s North Sinai.
At least 300 people were reportedly killed and 128 injured when terrorists attacked the mosque in El-Arish’s western province on Friday. Reports indicate the terrorists used explosives and heavy weaponry in their attack on the mosque.
