TEHRAN (Press Shia) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Tuesday met with a visiting parliamentary delegation from Denmark and explored avenues for the expansion of bilateral ties between the two countries.

The Danish delegation was led by Soren Espersen, the chairman of Foreign Policy Committee of Danish Parliament.

At the meeting held in Tehran, Zarif and Espersen reviewed issues of mutual interest particularly economic ties in the post-sanctions era.

They voiced their deep concern about deterioration of humanitarian situation in the region caused by ongoing conflicts in Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan, and called for diplomatic approach to restore peace and stability in the region.
