TEHRAN, Dec. 15 (Press Shia) – Iran’s envoy to UN Gholamali Khoshroo said US Ambassador Nikki Haley’s aimed at diverting the global attention from anti-human act of recognizing al-Quds as capital of the Zionist regime.
Addressing a gathering of reporters on Thursday in New York, Permanent Representative of Iran to the United Nations Gholamali Khoshroo said the show carried out by US envoy to the UN and the claim that Iran had supplied weapons to the Houthi in Yemen indicated that Americans were seeking to cover up all kinds weapons they had given to Saudi Arabia to slaughter Yemeni women and children.
Iran’s ambassador continued that by imposing hunger, illness and poverty on Yemen, they seek to overthrow people while Yemeni people will resist against arrogance and bombing as the claim by US ambassador remains baseless.
Khoshroo asserted that Iran’s actions had nothing to do with America’s repetitive and baseless shows; “Iran’s stance towards Yemen is dialogue and peace and we are opposed to any kind of bombing of Yemen. Yemen is in a humanitarian crisis and humanitarian aid must be sent to Yemen.”
He stressed that Iran wants peace, dialogue, immediate ceasefire and halt in bombs, and most importantly, the US must cut off arms sales to Saudi Arabia. The US is playing lives of Yemeni children to cover benefits of arms sales.
