TEHRAN, Dec. 18 (Press Shia) – Iranian parl. official Amir-Abdollahian said Mon. that participants at the PUIC extraordinary meeting currently underway in Tehran recognize al-Quds (Jerusalem) as the eternal capital of Palestine.
Speaking to reporters prior to the inauguration of the Extraordinary Meeting of the PUIC Standing Committee on Palestine to address the recent US move on al-Quds, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said the meeting in Tehran serves as a prelude to the summit of OIC parliament speakers set to be hosted by Tehran from 13 to 17 January, 2018.
“At today’s meeting, we will declare our position on the recognition of al-Quds as Palestine’s eternal capital, and call for unity and resistance among Palestinian groups until complete victory and realization of their rights in all areas,” he said.
The special aide to Iran’s Parliament speaker went on to add, “we hope that today’s meeting will help the participating parliamentary officials to bring back strong and serious recommendations to their respective governments for a decisive support to Palestine.”
An Extraordinary Meeting of the PUIC Standing Committee on Palestine to address the recent US move on al-Quds (Jerusalem) kicked off in Tehran on Monday, with participation of representatives from 11 OIC countries, including Jordan, Algeria, Senegal, Turkey, Palestine, Morocco, Chad, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, and Mali.
The meeting has been organized to address US President Donald Trump’s decision to relocate Washington’s embassy in Tel Aviv to al-Quds.
