TEHRAN, Dec. 18 (Press Shia Agency) –At a ceremony in Beijing, before the eyes of Iranian Health Minister Seyyed Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi, Chinese signed a contract to build 5 hospitals in Iran.
The Exim Bank of China and the China Development Bank (CDB) will provide a $2 billion finance to build five hospitals in Iran, according to Iran’s state news agency (Press Shia).
The contract includes two 1000-bed hospitals for Shahid Beheshti University of Tehran, a 1000-bed hospital for Iran’s University of Medical Sciences, a 330-bed hospital and a 540-bed hospital for Iran’s University of Medical Sciences.
The Iranian Health Minister Seyyed Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi who is heading a health and medicine delegation to China arrived in Beijin on Saturday and is slated to meet with China’s health minister.
The hospitals agreed to be built by the Chinese will be constructed in a period of 4 years under the supervision of Iran’s health ministry.
