TEHRAN (Press Shia) – The Saudi-led coalition warplanes launched new attacks on Kutaf and Baqem districts in Yemen’s northern province of Sa’adah.

The Saudi-led coalition fighter jets on Saturday conducted five attacks on Boqa and Atfaeen areas in Kutaf district, and also launched attacks on different areas in Baqem border district, causing damage to public and private properties, Yemen’s Saba News Agency reported.

In the meantime, Yemen's Information Minister Abdulsalam Jabir denounced Saudi-led coalition’s Friday airstrikes that targeted members of the Yemeni Al-Masira satellite television and killed its cameraman.

The airstrikes killed cameraman Safeer al-Shami while covering developments in Yemen's northern province of Jawf.

"Attacking journalists violates all international conventions and human rights treaties," the minister said.

He also condemned the awkward silence of the United Nations and international community on the ongoing Saudi war crimes against the Yemeni people.

Last month, the Saudi-led coalition warplanes attacked the state TV station in the Yemeni capital Sana’a, killing three journalists and a guard.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for almost three years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

Over 12,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
