TEHRAN, Nov. 10 (Press Shia) – Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Salehi, who is visiting Poland, met with Gliński, Polish First Deputy Prime Minister, on Wednesday.
President Rouhani’s VP and the Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI), Ali Akbar Salehi, who is visiting Poland, met with Piotr Gliński, Poland’s Minister of Culture and National Heritage and First Deputy Prime Minister, on Wednesday.
Salehi voiced Iran’s eagerness for developing cooperation at this stage of events after the groundbreaking nuclear deal of July 14, 2015 between Iran and the sextet (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council – the United States, France, Britain, China and Russia – plus Germany). Joint production and investment in the areas of industry, medicine, oil and gas were listed as examples of such cooperation by Salehi.
The Polish side, Mr. Gliński, for his part welcomed the call of cooperation for the listed areas and further urged for including cultural cooperation in developing the bilateral relations especially for Polish tourists who intend to travel to Iran. Nuclear medicine and the ways for co-working on it was also discussed by the two sides
The Iranian vice-president also met with the Marshal of the Senate of the Republic of Poland, Stanisław Karczewski, and the Marshal of the Sejm (Polish parliament) Marek Kuchciński. In these meetings the Iranian and Polish officials exchanged views on regional issues of the Middle East and the European Union along with examining the avenues of potential cooperation in areas of energy, oil, gas, and nuclear energy.
In his meetings with Polish officials and visits to places, the Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, is accompanied by the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Warsaw, Ramin Mehmanparast.
He is also slated to pay a visit to the Polish National Centre for Nuclear Research in Otwock-Świerk, the south-east of Warsaw.
