TEHRAN (Press Shia Agency) – Saudi warplanes carried out new airstrikes against several areas across Yemen, inflicting more human loss and material damage on the war-torn Arab country.
The Saudi fighter jets conducted three raids on Serwah district in the central province of Marib on Saturday, an officials told Saba News Agency.
In the meantime, the Saudi-led coalition warplanes launched four attacks on Bani Matar in the capital, Sana’a.
The Saudi airstrikes targeted Ayban mount and Asbha area and inflicted serious damage to residential buildings and people’s properties.
In another development, the Yemeni army and Popular Committees conducted retaliatory attacks against the Saudi-led coalition forces and pounded Saudi-paid mercenaries’ sites in the Southwestern province of Taiz.
The Yemeni troops killed and injured several Saudi mercenaries in Birbasha and Alqohaifa areas in Maqbana district as well as Sarmain area east of Sala district.
Also, the Yemeni army and Popular Committees pounded Saudi-paid mercenaries’ positions at Aljamarek hill and nearby hills in Tor Albaha district in the southern province of Lahij overnight Saturday.
In another development, the Yemeni troops’ missile unit fired Katyusha rockets overnight at a gathering of Saudi mercenaries in Khanjar military camp in Khab and Sha'af districts in the northern province of al-Jawf.
Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the Saudi-led coalition for the past three years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.
Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.
Over 14,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
