TEHRAN, Nov. 22 (Press Shia) – Iranian Parl. Speaker said the US House of Representatives has so far proposed 50 bills against the nuclear deal, saying Iran will ‘bring US to its senses’ by taking reciprocal measures.

“After the nuclear deal, apart from a number of hostile countries and certain domestic issues in the US, all other nations across the world expressed their eagerness to have extensive cooperation with Iran,” Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani said during an open session of Parliament on Tuesday.

“On the other hand, the US House of Representatives has so far proposed as many as 50 bills in opposition to the JCPOA, two of which have been even passed into law,” he added.

Larijani also voiced bewilderment at the remarks by the US House Speaker, Paul Ryan, who claimed that Iran has violated the JCPOA.

“In the past one year and a half since the nuclear deal was signed, officials of the US, EU and some international organizations have expressed their opinions about Iran’s treatment of the deal at least 40 times,” he said.

He went on to add, “even the US president once said that the main argument of the opponents to the deal was that Iran would cheat and fail to stay committed to its obligations. But we have one year of evidence and documents that Iran has fully abided by the deal.”

Larijani noted that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has on 13 different cases confirmed Iran’s commitment to the nuclear deal.

He went on to question the intention of the Speaker of the US House for accusing Iran of having violated the JCPOA, saying “this is an example of the US insincere conduct about which the Leader of the Islamic Revolution has time and again warned the country.”

“Perhaps Paul Ryan’s position against Trump aimed at creating a situation in which the new US president will face serious problems from the beginning, because it is clear that Iran will bring the US to its senses by taking reciprocal measures [in response to their opposition to the JCPOA],” he said.
