TEHRAN (Press Shia) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani started his official trip to neighboring Azerbaijan as part of efforts to promote bilateral relations between Tehran and Baku in different areas.
Heading a high-ranking delegation, Rouhani arrived in Baku on Wednesday at the official invitation of his Azeri counterpart, Ilham Aliyev.
During his visit to Azerbaijan, Rouhani will hold talks with Aliyev on a range of issues, including ways to deepen bilateral ties and the latest developments in the region and the world.
A meeting between high-ranking Iranian and Azerbaijani delegations with the presidents of the two countries in attendance will also be held during Rouhani’s visit.
The two sides plan to sign several agreements and memorandums of understanding to boost cooperation in diverse economic areas.
