TEHRAN (Press Shia) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif arrived in Windhoek on Thursday for talks with senior Namibian officials on promotion of the bilateral ties between the two countries.
He left Uruguay earlier in the day to visit Namibia on the last leg of his tour of Africa and South America, which also took him to Senegal and Brazil.
The Iranian top diplomat on Thursday addressed a joint economic meeting of Iran and Namibia, which was also attended by Namibian trade minister.
Zarif is slated to hold meetings with political, economic, and parliamentary officials of Namibia during his stay in the southwest African country.
He is heading a delegation of Iranian business people and entrepreneurs from the government and private sectors.
Zarif had announced earlier that his tour of the four countries would revolve around development of economic ties.
