TEHRAN (Press Shia) – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi dismissed as baseless and provocative the anti-Iran allegations raised by Djibouti’s President Ismail Omar Guelleh, recommending the African official to read history instead of echoing accusations made by the others.

Qassemi on Friday denounced Guelleh’s comments against Iran as “ill-advised and vague”, saying the African president had better exercise wisdom and refer to evenhanded sources before making remarks that are fundamentally far from the reality.

The Djibouti president on Wednesday accused Iran of interfering in the internal affairs of the Arab countries, including Yemen, Bahrain, Syria and Iraq, and of destabilizing peace and stability in those countries.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman in response called on Guelleh to stop repeating bogus and false allegations made by the others, and recommended him to resort to realism after studying the world history.
