TEHRAN (Press Shia Agency) – Massive demonstrations are planned to be staged in 46 countries around the world to condemn the planned relocation of the US embassy from Tel Aviv to the Holy city of Quds (Jerusalem).

Palestinians are set to hold anti-Israeli protests on Monday to decry the US embassy move and to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Israeli regime’s establishment, also known as Nakba Day.

People in 46 other countries are also planned to stage demonstrations in support of Palestinians tomorrow.

Issam Abu Bakr, coordinator of the activities of the Palestinian National and Islamic Forces, told the Turkish news agency Anadolu that anti-Israeli rallies will be held in 46 countries and in occupied territories to ruin Israeli ceremonies to celebrate the relocation of the US embassy to Quds.

In the meantime, the Israeli army has decided to beef up security and reinforce battalions in the West Bank and along Gaza's eastern border fence on Nakba Day.

Rage has been escalating in the Palestinian territories since US President Donald Trump recognized Quds as Israel's capital on December 6, 2017 and announced his intention to move his country's embassy in Israel to the holy city.

An Israeli official said that Nakba Day protests are expected to be "far more violent" than the past weeks, the Palestinian Information Center reported.

The Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have been marching since March 30, along the eastern border to demand their right of return to their lands from which they were expelled in 1948.

The Israeli army on Friday killed one Palestinian and injured about 731 others, according to Gaza's Ministry of Health.

Haaretz said that the Israeli army will attempt to stop protesters further away from the fence than established in recent weeks hoping to prevent advancement past the tent area located 300 meters of the fence.

The Palestinian people living in the Gaza Strip are the most affected by the US and Israeli policies. Inhabited by over two million Palestinians, the coastal enclave, with a decade-long blockade, is suffering from harsh living conditions that keep worsening each new day.
