TEHRAN (Press Shia) – Iran’s Foreign Ministry categorically rejected media reports about indirect negotiations between Iran and the Zionist regime of Israel over Syria.
In a Monday interview with Press Shia, Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi dismissed as “totally baseless and false” the reports by Zionist and Saudi media outlets claiming indirect talks had been held between Iran and Israel in Jordan about Syria.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran does not at all recognize the fabricated, terrorist and occupying regime of Israel (to sit for talks with it),” the Foreign Ministry’s website quoted him as saying.
The motivations behind such misleading reports are completely clear, Qassemi added, noting that such absurd and biased reports are released to deflect the world’s public opinion from the recent crimes of the Zionist regime against Palestinians.
The release of such reports by websites affiliated with the Arab-Hebrew axis is not surprising in the wake of certain Arab states’ betrayal of the Palestinian cause and their attempts to break the decades-long resistance and resilience of the Palestinians against Israeli aggression, he concluded.
