TEHRAN, Dec. 04 (Press Shia) – AEOI Head Salehi has left Tehran for Vienna to take part at IAEA’s event dubbed “International Conference on Nuclear Security: Commitments and Actions.”
Leading an Iranian delegation, Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Ali Akbar Salehi will attend the conference which is organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) from September 5-9, 2016 in Vienna, Austria.
Salehi will present the statement of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the meeting on Monday morning December 05.
Following the successful “International Conference on Nuclear Security: Enhancing Global Efforts” held in Vienna on July 2013, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) is organizing a second conference in this area — the International Conference on Nuclear Security: Commitments and Actions — at its Headquarters in Vienna, Austria, from 5 to 9 December 2016.
The 2013 conference attracted more than 1300 registered participants from 125 Member States, 34 of which were represented at ministerial level, and 21 intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations while the 2016 conference is expected to engender an even greater level of interest.
