TEHRAN (Press Shia Agency) – The security guards of the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) Mosque arrested a mentally ill person yesterday evening after he fired multiple shots in the courtyard of the Mosque in the city of Medina in Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Sabq news website indicated that no one has been injured in the shooting and the 42-year-old man was handed over to the Central Region Police in Medina for legal procedures.

The Prophet’s Mosque is one of the largest mosques in the world and the second holiest site in Islam after the Grand Mosque in Mecca.
