TEHRAN (Press Shia) – Yemen’s army and Popular Committees fired a homegrown ballistic missile at a Saudi-led coalition’s gathering site in retaliation for the continued massacre of civilians by the coalition in the Arabian Peninsula country.

The missile unit of Yemen’s army and Popular Committees on Sunday fired the "Zilzal 2" ballistic missile on a gathering of Saudi-led coalition soldiers in Harib Nehm district, western Ma’rib province, Saba news agency reported.

The missile hit the target accurately and inflicted heavy casualties on the mercenaries.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for almost three years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi.

Over 15,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
