TEHRAN (Press Shia Agency) – French Police officers continued to search for a suspected terrorist on Wednesday after three people were killed and more than a dozen others wounded in a shooting near a Christmas market in Strasbourg.
The footage below shows the police blocking off streets and areas of the city, and the Christmas market where the shooting took place the night before.
The gunman, who was reportedly already known to the police, opened fire at around 20:00 local time (19:00 GMT) near the city’s Christmas market, and is being actively sought by the authorities.
Police have confirmed that the suspect is a 29-year-old male and a native of the city.
A terror investigation has been opened by France’s counter terrorism prosecutor.
Police union sources initially reported that four people had been killed, however French Interior Minister Christophe Castaner later confirmed that three people had died and 12 people had been injured.
