TEHRAN (Press Shia) – Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani decried Tel Aviv’s crimes against humanity and said the “extensive” corruption of the Israeli leaders will lead to the regime’s destruction.
Speaking at a meeting with Mahmoud al-Zahar, the co-founder of Hamas and a member of the Hamas leadership in Gaza, held in Tehran on Sunday, Shamkhani highlighted the importance of the Palestinian issue and urged constant efforts to counter the Israeli regime’s policies.
“The most important priority of the Islamic world is the support for the cause of Palestine and the freedom of al-Quds (Jerusalem),” he said.
“Any move that leads to a deviation in the course of the fight against the Zionist regime as the main threat to the Islamic world is considered to be a betrayal of Muslims in the world,” the Iranian official added.
“What will destroy the Zionist regime will be the internal and extensive corruption of its leaders, the awakening of the nations and the vigilance against the conspiracies and oppression that this child-killer regime has committed against humanity,” Shamkhani noted.
Zahar, for his part, expressed his gratitude for the support of the Iranian nation and leadership for Palestine’s resistance against Israel.
In their latest killings of Palestinians, Israeli forces on Friday shot and killed three people in Gaza, including a teenager and another Palestinian teen in the occupied West Bank.
Health officials in Gaza say over 220 Palestinians have been killed since they began weekly border protests on March 30 to demand the easing of Israel’s blockade and the right to return to land occupied by Israel in 1948.
