Press Shia – Hujjat al-Islam Qawouq said that the liberation of the Syrian city of Aleppo from the occupation of the Takfiri terrorist group, Daesh, has buried the war against the identity and unity of Syria and the wishes of Saudi Arabia to divide the country.

Press Shia – Speaking at a ceremony held by Hezbollah in the southern Lebanese village of Suwwaneh on Sunday, Hujjat al-Islam Nabil Qawouq, the vice-president of the Executive Council of Hezbollah, said that with dedication and zeal, Hezbollah and the Lebanese army were able to support the country, President Michel Aoun and begin efforts to form a government.

“Lebanon is now on the verge of a real opportunity to establish a government based on partnership and justice in order to end the political, economic and social crises facing the country,” he said.

He added that there are only a few minor problems hindering the formation of a new government and within a few days, a cabinet will be announced and added, “While the holding of parliamentary elections based on the new laws is the responsibility of the government, there are some political forces working through procrastination and evasion to hold the elections according to the infamous 1960 election law.”

Hujjat al-Islam Qawouq said that Hezbollah had an important role in ending the political crisis in the country and also in facilitating the formation of the government added, “Now that the government has reached the final stages in establishing a new government, it can be said that more than any other group, Hezbollah has showed more dedication to helping the new government to succeed.”

In other remarks, the senior Hezbollah official referred to the victory of the Syrian army and the Islamic Resistance over terrorism in the country and said the Syrian army and its allies in the country were able to thwart the scheme to divide the country and also stop the plan to change the identity of Syria and distance the country from the Islamic Resistance Axis.

The Lebanese cleric said that the liberation of Aleppo changes the equation in the region and the world and added, “The victory in Aleppo has buried the war against the identity and unity of Syria and the wishes of Saudi Arabia to divide the country.”

Hujjat al-Islam Qawouq said, “Lebanon benefits from the victories of Syria more than any other country because the stability of Lebanon is a directly related to the war against Takfiri terrorism in Mosul and Aleppo. Defeating the terrorists in these cities means there will be more security and stability for Lebanon.”
