TEHRAN (Press Shia Agency) – Hundreds of pro-and anti-Brexit campaigners gathered outside the UK Parliament, as Theresa May lost the support she needs from the parliament to win the closing vote on Brexit.

– World news –

The UK lawmakers rejected to agree with the vote and Prime Minister Theresa May lost support for her Brexit deal in Parliament. Adding uncertainty to Brexit less than three months before Britain is due to leave the EU on March 29.

May has lost the vote on her crucial deal by 432 votes to 202 in what is the heaviest defeat of any British prime minister in the democratic era. As a result Jeremy Corbyn has tabled a vote of no confidence, which will be debated in the House on Wednesday.

Labour launched the bid to trigger a general election after the deal setting out the terms of Britain's exit from the EU was rejected by 230 votes.

However, one senior party figure has suggested it is unlikely to succeed, with Northern Ireland's DUP and Tory rebels saying they will back the PM.

The confidence vote is expected to be held at about 19:00 GMT.
