Rasa – The head of the Centre for Services of the Islamic Seminary and a group of officials ‎from this organization met with Ayatollah Sobhani in Qom. ‎

RNA – Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Hasan Rabbani, the head of the Centre for Services of the ‎Islamic Seminary, and a group of officials from this organization ‎met with Grand Ayatollah ‎Ja’far Sobhani for a discussion. ‎

Hujjat al-Islam Rabbani presented a report on the significant presence of seminarians in ‎helping the victims of the recent floods in Iran as well as the plans of the Centre for Services ‎of the Islamic Seminary‎ to collect cash and non-cash donations from scholars and clerics and ‎distribute it among the flood victims. ‎

Ayatollah Sobhani thanked the people, as well as the Basijis, for their extensive participation ‎in their assistance to the flood victims. ‎

The revered source of emulation also gave a sum of money collected by students of the ‎Imam Sadiq Institute to Hujjat al-Islam Rabbani ‎to give to the victims. ‎

Ayatollah Sobhani said, “If I was able, I would go to the flood-stricken areas to assist the ‎people.”‎

But the most interesting part of the visit was that Ayatollah Sobhani donated the money he ‎received from the sale of his own personal house to the flood victims, giving the funds to ‎Hujjat al-Islam Rabbani to distribute. ‎

Heavy rains and flash floods have affected more than 2,000 cities and towns across almost ‎all of Iran’s 31 provinces, according to the Iranian Red Crescent. ‎

An estimated ten million people have been affected in some way, including more than half a ‎million who have been displaced from their homes, some permanently. At least 78 people ‎have died and more than 1,136 injured.‎
