TEHRAN (Press Shia Agency) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Prime Minister of Qatar Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani met in Doha on Sunday.
Iran’s top diplomat and the Qatari premier met on the sidelines of the Doha Forum, a platform for global dialogue on critical global challenges.
In the gathering, Zarif congratulated Qatar on its success in holding the Doha Forum, saying he was delighted to take part in the event for the second time.
The two officials also discussed the ties between Tehran and Doha in various fields, issues of mutual interest, and major regional developments.
Established in 2000, the Doha Forum seeks to promote the interchange of ideas, discourse, policymaking, and action-oriented recommendations.
Doha Forum 2019 has brought together many world leaders, thinkers, and policymakers to reimagine a global governance to address the collective needs and priorities.
