TEHRAN (Press Shia) – Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani offered congratulations to his Christian counterparts over the Christmas and the New Year and said global peace, justice, and progress can be achieved through interaction among divine religions.
In separate messages to his Christian counterparts on Tuesday, Larijani congratulated felicitated the birthday anniversary of Jesus Christ (PBUH) and the beginning of the new Christian year of 2019.
“I firmly believe that the realization of peace, justice, and progress… and the (religious) goals that Jesus Christ has always mentioned will be achieved through constructive interaction and dialogue among followers of divine religions,” he stated.
Accordingly, the Iranian parliament welcomes any joint and constructive cooperation with other parliaments with the aim of promoting peace and divine-human values in the world, Larijani went on to say.
The parliament speaker also wished his counterparts health and success and the people of their countries progress and prosperity.
Christmas or Christmas Day is an annual commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ, celebrated generally on December 25 as a religious and cultural holiday by millions of people around the world.
