TEHRAN (Press Shia Agency) – Protests were held in US cities of Rhode Island, Los Angeles, Washington, DC, and San Francisco as well as Canada’s Toronto demanding an end to US President Donald Trump’s warmongering policies towards Iran and evacuation of troops from Iraq.
Protesters marched in front of the White House in Washington, DC, on Saturday demanding the Trump administration ease tensions with Iran, with activists holding banners as they chanted “No to war with Iran” at the protest.
Hundreds of protesters also marched and rallied in the streets of Los Angeles and San Jose on January 25, chanting anti-war slogans.
In a separate demonstration, hundreds of protesters took to the streets in San Francisco on Saturday against warmongering policies of Trump administration towards Iran. Activists marched with banners against Trump and chanted anti-war slogans.
The event was organized by local activist groups including Arab Resource and Organization Center (AROC) and Bay Resistance.
Anti-war activists have held several rallies in deferent cities since tensions escalated between the US and Iran after the US assassination of Iran’s IRGC Quds Force Commander Lt. General Qassam Soleimani in a drone strike on January 3.
