TEHRAN, Feb. 28 (Press Shia Agency) – Foreign Ministry has rejected an MP’s claims that Javad Zarif had sent a letter to his American counterpart.
Javad Karimi Ghoddousi had told Parliament open session that Mr. Zarif had sent a letter to Rex Tillerson. The statement strongly rejected the claim as inaccurate claim which was delusional at best.
“The depth of maliciousness in Mr. Ghoddousi’s character and his sheer intransigence in his unfounded allegations against the highest-ranking foreign policy official is unfortunate; such claims seem to play on the public mentality and intend to disturb public opinion and satiate Mr. Ghoddousi’s own quest for being in the spotlight,” emphasized the statement.
“Such claims will achieve nothing in distorting the image of the Foreign Minister; the political community and the public in general will not succumb to this sort of propaganda; the claims will fail in deviating the Ministry from its path to advance country’s principled policies; however, we believe it is against experiences of national security and could be addressed by legal establishment of the Judiciary as possible infringement of the ethics of political conduct,” the statement concluded.
