Press Shia Agency – Hujjat al-Islam al-Qubanchi called for seriousness in the fight against terrorism and reiterated that dangerous future awaits Europe if they don’t take a serious stance in the fight against terrorism.

​Press Shia – In his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in the Iraqi city of Najaf’s al-Fatimiyah al-Kubra Husayniyah, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Sadruddin al-Qubanchi thanked Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani and the board of the Holy Shine of Imam al-Husayn for their support for the refugees of Nineveh Governorate and the city of Mosul, who have been driven from their homes due to the Daesh Takfiri phenomenon. 

The Iraqi scholar said from the beginning of the operation to liberate Mosul from the clutches of the Daesh terrorists in October 2016, more than 355,000 refugees have been resettled and the people of Iraq have provided them with a large amount of humanitarian assistance. 

Hujjat al-Islam al-Qubanchi expressed his gratitude to Kadhim Finjan al-Hamami, Iraq’s Transport Minister, for inaugurating the Nasiriyah International Airport and said, “With the opening of this airport, the people of Nasiriyah can easily travel to different areas, such as Erbil, Baghdad and Mashhad.”

He referred to the terrorist attack which occurred on Wednesday in several locations in the British capital, London, and “If the United Kingdom doesn’t seriously fight terrorism, a dangerous future awaits Europe.”

The attacker, identified as 52-year-old British-born Khalid Masood, drove a car into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge, killing three and injuring at least 50. Daesh claimed responsibility for the attack.

Hujjat al-Islam al-Qubanchi stressed that the world needs to cut ties with terrorist movements.
